Overall, Yemenis are more afraid of air strikes by the Saudi-led coalition or drones than of terrorism. The results obviously vary according to governorate. But even in al-Bayda’, where AQAP has been the most consistently active since December 2016, 23 percent of respondents listed air strikes as one of “the three biggest security threats” in their area, while only 14 percent listed “terrorism/al-Qaeda Organization/ ISIS (Daesh).” 9
